Plexippus paykulli  (Audouin, 1826)

Description
Male

Prosoma dorsally brown with black hairs, sides sandy with black margins, in lower half with white hairs. Opisthosoma sandy, with dorsal white median band which is widened T-like in the posterior third. Palp: sandy, with white and yellow hairs, cymbium widened.

Body length male: 6.8-9.1 mm
Female

Opisthosoma beige, with dorsal brown hairs, white equatorial band and white median stripe which is extended by two spots in the posterior third. Epigyneal plate medially depressed, openings slit-shaped.

Body length female: 8.7-11.9 mm
Additional information

In and close to buildings.

This species of African origin is not native to Europe (alien species). It had been introduced to Europe at least once and did establish.
