Saitis barbipes  (Simon, 1868)

Description
Male

Prosoma dorsally brown, light median band begins at fovea, sides darker. Opisthosoma dorsally dark brown with ivory median band, dark chevron pattern at posterior end. Sides dark brown with disconnected white longitudinal stripes, ventrally light orange-brown.

Body length male: 3.8-4.0 mm
Female

Prosoma dorsally light yellow-brown with dark brown head plate and black eye field. Light median band indistinct. Opisthosoma light beige, dorsally with black spots, ventrally with few small black spots.

Body length female: 4.6-5.7 mm
Additional information

Since a few decades, this species shows some spreading tendencies within Europe. Nevertheless, it shall not be listed as alien or invasive because it is native for Europe.
