Validity of this subspecies doubtful per Pantini & Isaia (2019).
Somewhat paler coloured specimens as Alopecosa alpicola were described by Simon (1876a: 264) from the French Alps as a local form at specific level and then downgraded to subspecies (Simon 1937: 1106, 1135). It is probably only a colour variant.
"No references" does not mean that the species does not occur in this country, but that we have not yet inserted the reference for it. We are working on it.
