Eratigena barrientosi  (Bolzern, Crespo & Cardoso, 2009)

Description
Male

Prosoma yellowish brown coloured without longitudinal darkened bands, border not darkened. Opisthosoma light yellowish brown-gray, no distinct pattern expressed. Palp: Patellar apophysis absent. Broad and flat lateral tibial apophysis. Conductor with pyramidal ventral branch and pointing orthogonally away from the cymbium.

Prosoma length: 2.3-3.3 mm.

Female

Prosoma yellowish brown coloured without longitudinal darkened bands, border not darkened. Opisthosoma light yellowish brown-gray, no distinct pattern expressed. Small diverticulae present at copulatory ducts. Diverticulae originating laterally and the irregularly sclerotized egg-shaped spermathecae touch each other anteriorly.

Prosoma length: 2.8–3.5 mm, prosoma width: 2.0–2.7 mm.

Additional information

The species seems to prefer closed canopy forests, with a damp microclimate.
