Description
Male

As female but smaller and darker. Both sides of thoracic region with dark brown band. Palp: Terminal apophysis long, curved and with pointed tip. Median apophysis thick with blunt tip.

Body length male: 6-8 mm
Female

Prosoma light yellowish brown with white hairs, center and margin brown, longer than wide. Opisthosoma light yellowish-brown to yellowish-red, shield-shaped and with hump-shaped protuberances at shoulders, dorsal folium pattern. Epigyne: Scape long and wrinkled with scooped tip.

Body length female: 9-12 mm
Additional information

Builds a large vertical orb web between trees and bushes in high mountain area.
