Cymbium pointed basally. Epigyne with median part diverging anteriorly, with robust bars. Prosoma black-brown, anteriorly with 5 longitudinal stripes consisting of white hairs, posteriorly with black radial pattern. Sternum brown. Chelicerae brown, diverging rhomb-like on the inner side. Legs light brown, with vague dark annulations. Opisthosoma yellowish brown, dorsally with irregular, darker spots, that can be merged to chevrons in posterior part.
Body length male: 2-2.5 mmOn low plants, more rarely on trees and bushes.
After Wunderlich (1975) E. mitis is distributed in the Palaearctic and E. annulipes in the Nearctic region. Thus all European records of annulipes should be counted as mitis.
