Tibial apophysis is smaller or equal length of tibia. Epigyne with 3/4 circular, closed cuticula fold on posterior margin. Prosoma grey to black-brown. Sternum red-brown, labium red-brown. Chelicerae red-brown. Femur I with bright spot. Opisthosoma grey-brown to black-brown, with dark brown scuticula.
Body length male: 4.2-6.0 mmIn rocky heathland and open forests, thermophilic, up to 1800m
This species has a Holarctic distribution, from North America via South Siberia into the Ukraine. The European records represent the most westerly populations of this species, spreading since the 1970s. Therefore, this species is not seen here as alien to Europe.
